The explosion which occurred in the Sabon-Gari area of Kano has reportedly taken at-least twenty lives.
The explosion which happened at a busy bus park destroyed many vehicles causing panic with people running for safety.
Government officials were reluctant to divulge information to the press but unconfirmed reports puts the number of casualties at about twenty with several others injured.
The location of the blast is predominantly home to Christians living in the populated city of Kano.
According to Tunde Kazeem, an auto-mechanic in the area, many people ran away from the area with blood on their clothes.
“There was a huge blast at the New Road motor park,” said the mechanic.
“The blast was followed by billows of black smoke and there was a lot of confusion with people rushing out of the motor park, some of them with blood on their clothes.”
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks but the militant Islamic group, Boko Haram has carried out several attacks in the northern part of the country claiming hundreds of casualties.

Chinedu, you don’t even seem to know that hausa is a tribe not a religion. A bus park can never be exclusive to one religion. It is bad but we should also be objective in our reporting.

Pls be objective in your reportage.what do you mean by predominantly home to xtains.this apend in a luxurious bus inside a motor park.so,whr did you get the place as a home to xtain.don’t cause religious problm with your report.let’s all condemn what apend with one voice and stop dis biase and baseless reportage
